Advent wreaths symbolize the anticipation of God's earthly presence through Jesus's birth.
In person wreath-making will have to be different in 2020 due to Covid-19. We will be announcing alternatives.
Each year, we create Advent wreaths on or before the first Sunday of Advent, which marks the beginning of the church year. Our Sunday School students typically get a head start on creating a wreaths for their family and adult members of the congregation are welcome to join following the service to create wreaths of their own.
We light one candle each Sunday in Advent to represent the increasing anticipation of Jesus's coming and to acknowledge that in the presence of light no darkness can overcome Jesus Christ our Lord.
